4D SurfSpec Roughness Gauge

The brand new SurfSpec from 4D Technology is an interferometer developed for the automotive and coating industry to measure roughness and waviness on sheet metal, coatings and many other materials. It can be operated by hand and is ideally suited for demanding production environments.

In less than 30 seconds a solid measurement is available with the largest currently available field of view of 16 x16 mm with nanometer accuracy. Coupled to an object, the system is insensitive to vibration. The device also offers the possibility of generating precise measurements within the production environment and is therefore independent of a measurement or testing lab.
